Three Cheers to MGL!

This Queen Customer, a resident of Andheri, is very impressed with the quality of customer service provided by her piped gas supplier, MGL (Mahanagar Gas Limited). She recounted to Thane Talk the sequence of events in her kitchen one recent morning:
7.10 am: She switches on her gas stove to find it not working.
7.13 am: By now, she has panicked. There is breakfast to be prepared for the household and lunch to be packed for the husband. Thinking there must be something wrong with the gas lighter, she switches over to match sticks and soon exhausts half a box.
7.15 am: The husband calls up the MGL Emergency Number. “We will be at your place within half an hour,” he is told.
7.17 am: “Half an hour?” the wife laughs. “This is India. It will take them an hour to wake up the technicians from their sleep.”
7.40 am: The bell rings. A MGL supervisor is at the door, along with two technicians. All three are in their blue uniforms and one of them is carrying a huge tool box.
7.44 am: A small gas leak is repaired at the junction box in the kitchen. The gas stove starts burning brightly once again.
