Mall tales – 2/3

I am in the market for a new desktop and while recently at the brand new R-City at Ghatkopar, walked into the Staples superstore, a part of the office stationery giant with sales of $23 billion and a presence in 21 countries.
I went over to the electronics section but all I could see were rows and rows of laptops.
Puzzled, I asked a salesman hovering nearby, “Doesn’t such a big shop like yours keep desktops?”
The young kid, perhaps just fresh out of college, grinned at me and said very sheepishly, “Actually sir, we used to sell desktops but then the girl handling their sales left us so we had to shut down the section.”
