Drama in real life

This morning on the way to work, as my local train pulled out from Matunga station, a young man standing on the footboard took out his cellphone from his office bag – which promptly fell on the tracks running alongside!
The train was picking up speed. Without waiting for a second, without waiting to see left or right, the young man jumped on the tracks to retrieve his bag.
All of us standing near the door gave out a collective “Oh no!” and craned our necks out to see if there was any train coming from the opposite direction.
And…
The young man lived to narrate his misadventure to his friends – there was no train on the tracks…
